Dorset wedding photographer – Renewal of Vows at The Rotunda, Springhead with Debbie and Gary:
We recently had the pleasure of photographing Debbie and Gary’s renewal of vows which took place in the beautiful setting of The Rotunda, Springhead. We arrived at around 1pm expecting to find Debbie calmly doing her hair and makeup, however we found her looking quite stressed out marching around the grounds, still in her jeans and t-shirt trying to sort out the arrangements for the day due to things she had ordered that hadn’t turned up! At that point her four sons had not yet arrived, their white shirts were missing and guests were already beginning to arrive. Regardless of this, Debbie stayed in good spirits, managed to sort any outstanding matters out, her sons eventually arrived and Debbie was able to settle with a well deserved glass of wine to have her hair done. Debbie is a makeup artist and therefore she did her own makeup for the day which looked absolutely beautiful and she wore a gorgeous long, white bridal gown which her husband Gary had not been allowed to see prior to the vow renewal service.
Hundreds of guests arrived to share the couple’s special day. The grounds were beautifully decorated with signs pointing the way for guests. The wedding ceremony took place outside in the beautiful grounds of The Rotunda Springhead. In such a location our clients see the benefit of Russ and I working as a photography team as Russ was able to photograph the ceremony up close while I crossed the bridge to the other side of the river and shot the ceremony from various angles with our long distance lens capturing two very different types of images for the couple.
After the ceremony, there was food and drinks for the guests in a huge white marquee. The couple had organised some fun props for photo opportunities and many of the guests including the couple posed for some fun pictures. Later that evening as a surprise for Gary (who loves Las Vegas), Debbie had organised an Elvis Presley impersonator to sing. The couple had their first dance at which point Elvis arrived to Gary’s surprise. The guests then later took to the dance floor with a DJ playing the music and towards the end of the evening Gary and Debbie cut a large Las Vegas style cake!
It was a fantastic day and below are a selection of photos:
